Gardeners in Beverly will open up their private sanctuaries Sunday for the Beverly Area Planning Association’s seventh annual Beverly-Morgan Park Garden Walk.
Featured Gardens
Eight gardens will be featured in this year’s walk, including traditional plantings, a koi-filled pond, and an expansive urban farm.
Meika Slotsema and Regan Souders, who moved to Beverly from Irving Park in 2021, have turned their home’s spacious yard into a lot filled with garden beds, including a wide variety of plants, a water feature, and a raised patio.
Meredith Horn, another gardener set to open up her Beverly home, has lived in the neighborhood since 2020 and has rebuilt her family’s garden, which was featured in the garden walk three years ago and has won Chicago Excellence in Gardening Awards in 2022 and 2023.
