Los Angeles is gearing up to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a range of exciting events and activities. The city will host dazzling drone shows, traditional fireworks extravaganzas, and kids on decorated bikes, among other festivities.
Fourth of July Celebrations
The Pacific Palisades celebration returns, and while some events are ticketed, the huge Gloria Molina Grand Park happening is free. The Beach Boys will perform at the Hollywood Bowl, and ‘Jurassic Park’ will be screened at Cinespia.
In addition to the Fourth of July celebrations, other events are taking place in the city. The Los Angeles Convention Center is hosting Anime Expo, a famous early-July jamboree that features a range of anime-inspired activities, including a masquerade and artist-filled wonderland.
Other Events
Ice Cream Alley opens on July 5 at ROW DTLA, offering a range of ice cream treats. The La Brea Tar Pits Museum is closing soon for a major renovation, but visitors can still explore the fossil-filled institution before it shuts its doors. The Academy Museum’s ‘JAWS’ exhibit is also worth visiting, featuring artifacts, props, and photos from the iconic film.
