Palm Beach International Airport, soon to be renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport, has seen a slight increase in passenger traffic over the last month and the past 12 months. In May, the airport served 686,656 passengers, a 1.4% increase from May 2025. Over the 12 months through May, the total number of passengers was 8,707,371, representing a 1.6% increase.
Airport Operations
The airport also experienced a rise in landings, including cargo, with 5,358 landings in May, a 5.3% increase, and 68,486 landings over the year, a 5.9% boost. JetBlue was the leading carrier, with 97,497 passengers, accounting for 26.97% of the total. Delta Air Lines followed with 92,738 passengers, at 25.56%, then American Airlines with 74,950 passengers at 20.73%, United Airlines with 50,519 passengers at 13.97%, and Southwest Airlines with 28,099 passengers at 7.77%.
Spirit Airlines, which ceased operations on May 2, had 60,886 passengers over the 12 months, representing a 1.39% share. The airport’s name change to President Donald J. Trump International Airport is set to take effect on July 9, with the Federal Aviation Administration updating the airport’s navigational locator code from PBI to DJT. The three-letter IATA code will transition to DJT on August 18.
