A veteran criminal profiler has expressed doubts about the authenticity of the ransom demands tied to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. The profiler, John Kelly, told Fox News Digital that the notes appear to be written by two different personalities – a cold-blooded ‘psychopath’ and someone more ’emotional’.
Investigation Ongoing
The 84-year-old Guthrie was abducted from her home, and authorities have been investigating the case. The ransom notes were sent to local media, with the first note demanding millions of dollars’ worth of Bitcoin and including crime scene details that were not widely known at the time.
Kelly believes that the kidnapper is a ‘very cruel person’ without remorse or guilt, likely a ‘psychopath’. He also stated that the notes do not fit the profile of the kidnapper, as they show a level of emotion that is not consistent with the actions of the perpetrator.
The FBI has not publicly confirmed or ruled out the authenticity of the demands. The case is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
