The 9th annual Boone Day is set to take place in Montgomery, Alabama, to remember the life and works of the late Rev. Richard Boone, a civil rights legend who organized protests in Tuscaloosa, Selma, and Montgomery during the Civil Rights Movement.
Event Details
A forum will be held at the Rosa Parks Museum from 2PM-4PM on Tuesday, July 7, featuring a panel discussion with Dr. Howard Robinson of Alabama State University and Dr. John Gigge of the University of Alabama, moderated by Darrin Harris.
Following the forum, a Boone Day celebration will take place from 4PM to 7PM at the Court Square Fountain, featuring entertainment, vendors, and food trucks. Additionally, 15 men will be recognized as Raindrops on our Beloved Community in Rev. Boone’s memory.
