Cohen, a 2-year-old who lost his foot in a lawn mower accident, has received a prosthetic leg and is already running and playing like nothing has changed. His mother, Brittney Walls, said she is amazed by his progress and adaptability.
Cohen’s Journey
Cohen lost his foot in March and received his prosthetic less than a month ago. Despite the short time, he is already walking and running with ease. His mother said she is grateful for the support from the community, including a ramp built by a local contractor, sponsored by Home Depot.
Cohen has also inspired people at Buckingham Correctional Center, who wrote him handwritten letters and offered words of encouragement. His mother said she is touched by the kindness and support from strangers.
Since the accident, life has been challenging for Cohen’s family, but they are focusing on healing and spending quality time together. Cohen’s mother said she wants to share her gratitude to the community and to the inmates who wrote to her son.
