A new program in Palm Beach County is helping young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. The Little Makers Market is a 6-week series where kids can learn how to build a product from scratch and sell it at a market.
Teaching Kids Business Skills
The program is the brainchild of Jacqueline Kester, founder of Hands and Hearts. Kester wanted to give kids a platform to express themselves and learn valuable business skills. The 6-week workshop series teaches kids about theming, packaging, and pricing their products.
The first market will be held on July 25th at the Jupiter Artisan Marketplace. The community is invited to come out and support these young entrepreneurs. The market will feature products made by the kids, as well as food and music.
A Community Effort
Kester hopes to expand the program to other parts of the county and help as many kids as possible. The Little Makers Market is a great example of how community members can come together to support and empower young people.
