After years of work and some delays, ‘The Mighty Bike’ in Roeland Park opened to the public earlier this month. The 12-foot climbable structure, in the shape of a 1960s style bicycle, is located at R Park.
Mayor Michael Poppa thanked city staff and councilmembers who were involved in the development of ‘The Mighty Bike,’ calling it ‘a labor of love.’ ‘This came from the heart, this came from the community,’ Poppa said during the opening event.
