Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger will begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday, according to manager Aaron Boone. Bellinger has been out of action since July 26 with a strained left hamstring.
Bellinger is expected to play on Tuesday and Thursday, likely with the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He will look to regain his form after a strong start to the season, batting .259 with 11 home runs and 53 RBIs in 102 games.
The Yankees also provided updates on other injured players, including three-time MVP Aaron Judge, who is scheduled to throw and run in New York on Monday. Judge has not played since May 31 due to a broken right rib.
Left-hander Carlos Rodón is also expected to make a minor league rehab start on Tuesday, although the team has not decided where he will pitch.
