Wyoming Population Smaller Than Other 49 States Combined

Wyoming has a smaller population than the other 49 states combined, according to a recent statement from the website Terrible Maps. This statement may seem absurd, but it highlights the unique characteristics of Wyoming.

Terrible Maps and Wyoming

Terrible Maps is a website known for creating humorous and inaccurate maps. One of their maps showed train tracks and railway stations across Antarctica, which is not possible since there are no trains or railway stations on the continent.

Other maps created by Terrible Maps about Wyoming include mislabeling the state as Colorado, highlighting the city of Casper as the only city named after a friendly ghost, and creating a mock elimination bracket to determine Wyoming’s worst county.

Terrible Maps also created a map showing each state with the first letter removed from its name, which would make Wyoming ‘Yoming’. Additionally, they highlighted that Wyoming is one of several states that ban the ownership of tigers.

The website also provided some interesting facts about bears, including that Earth is the only planet in the solar system where you could get killed by a bear. However, the odds of being killed by a bear in Wyoming are extremely low, calculated at roughly 1 in 26.2 million park visits for Yellowstone National Park.
