Drive Times
It takes approximately 6 to 7.5 hours to drive from Cheyenne to Cody, covering a driving distance of roughly 390–400 miles. The most common route is via I-25 N and US-20 W, which passes through Casper and Thermopolis.
The driving time from Casper to Thermopolis is: 2 hours, 5 minutes. It takes approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes to drive from Gillette to Douglas, Wyoming, covering a road distance of roughly 114 miles.
The driving time from Casper, Wyoming to Sheridan, Wyoming is: 2 hours, 9 minutes. From the east side of Wyoming to the west along the southern part of the state is easy. Just stay on Interstate 80. The driving time from Cheyenne to Evanston is: 5 hours, 18 minutes.
From southern Wyoming to northern Wyoming. Driving from Cheyenne, Wyoming, to the Montana southern border takes approximately 6.5 to 7 hours for the roughly 450-mile trip. Taking I-25 North to Casper, then US-87 and I-90 North toward the state line near Sheridan/Billings, ensures the most direct, high-speed route.
