An England fan, who has been collecting England jerseys since 1996, had to choose which one to wear to the World Cup game against DR Congo in Atlanta.
The Decision Process
The fan used a process of elimination to choose the jersey, first eliminating t-shirts, practice kits, and special editions. The fan also eliminated jerseys worn in losses to Germany and the 1986 World Cup kit worn against Argentina.
The fan then considered the color, choosing between white and red. According to a Google search, England has a higher win rate in red, so the fan chose the Euro 2004 Beckham No. 7 shirt.
The fan’s friend wore the ’96 Seaman goalie kit to the game, which the fan thought was inappropriate for the occasion.
The Game
England won the game 2-1, with the fan wearing the chosen jersey.
