Wyoming is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with various events across the state. Cheyenne’s America 250 celebration will take place on July 4, 2026, with activities planned throughout downtown and at the Wyoming State Capitol.
Local Events
Afton’s Independence Day Parade & Fireworks, 4th of July Street Dance Celebration in Sundance, and Rock Springs’ Liberty Day Parade are among the events scheduled. Lander will host a packed 4th of July celebration featuring the 132nd Pioneer Days Parade and a 360-degree fireworks display.
Ten Sleep, Jackson Hole, Casper, Cody, Gillette, Thayne, Laramie, and Douglas are also hosting events to mark the occasion. These include parades, rodeos, fireworks, and other family-friendly activities.
The City of Green River and Buffalo are also participating in the celebrations with their own events, including fireworks displays and community picnics.
