World Cup Watch Parties in Northwest Arkansas

Soccer fans across the world are gearing up for the start of the World Cup on Thursday. In Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley, fans can catch the action at various watch parties.

Downtown Springdale is hosting watch parties for all the biggest matches at Luther George Park, starting with Mexico vs. South Africa on Thursday. Nando Garcia, events and program director for Downtown Springdale, said the community is headstrong about soccer and these watch parties offer a space for fans to come together for an immersive viewing experience.

In Fayetteville, Ozark United FC is hosting a ‘Global Game Fest’ watch party at the Upper Ramble on Friday at 6:30 p.m. They’ll show the USA vs. Paraguay match on a 20-foot screen alongside food trucks, a mini soccer pitch, games and face painting. Wes Harris, managing director for Ozark United FC, said the event is about bringing people together and that soccer is a universal language that breaks down cultural barriers.

Soccer fans in the River Valley are invited to Brunswick Public House to cheer on Team USA during each of their matches, starting with their first match on Friday at 8 p.m.
