A woman from Attleboro, Massachusetts, has been indicted in connection with the death of her newborn son in 1985. On January 26, 1985, the body of a newborn boy was found in the woods off Fruit Street in Mansfield, outside of Boston. The baby, who was referred to as Baby Boy Doe, was in perfect health but lived only a few hours before being left in the woods.
Investigation and Indictment
According to a 1985 report, hunters found the baby’s frozen body near a rock wall. An autopsy determined that the 6-pound boy was alive when he was born and survived for a few hours. Investigators also said a woman called police the night the baby was born to report a disturbance in the area. Dianne Curry Peck was indicted on a murder charge by a grand jury and is scheduled to be arraigned in Fall River Superior Court.
