Professional ballroom dancer Witney Carson disclosed on “Good Morning America” that she is four months pregnant and will be competing on the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The 32‑year‑old, who has appeared on fifteen seasons of the show, said the experience is both exciting and daunting.
Carson, married to Carson McAllister since 2016, is the mother of two boys, 5‑year‑old Leo and 3‑year‑old Jet. She noted that she has never been this far along while competing on the series and wondered if it has ever happened before.
For the new season, Carson will be paired with comedian Guillermo Rodriguez, best known as a sidekick on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” She described the partnership as an opportunity to feel empowered and to see what her body can accomplish during pregnancy.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Carson said she experienced severe nausea during her first trimester and had to cancel several contracted engagements. After discussing the situation with her husband and executive producer Deena Katz, she decided to continue with the competition.
Carson first entered the national spotlight in 2012 on “So You Think You Can Dance” and joined the “Dancing with the Stars” troupe in 2013. She won the Mirrorball Trophy in 2014 with Alfonso Ribeiro and again in 2025 alongside Australian conservationist Robert Irwin.
Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars” is set to premiere with a two‑night launch on September 15 and 16.
