Williamson County announced in June that several transportation projects within its bounds received funding from the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. Among projects to receive a collective $131 million in funding is the future overpass at Chandler Road and FM 1660.
About the Project
The overpass is part of a countywide collection of projects planned for east Williamson County. As previously reported, Chandler Road and FM 1660 has seen several accidents. In early 2025, Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles championed funding an overpass for the intersection.
Williamson County Judge Steve Snell said in a release, “We will continue to seek funding from all sources in order to secure transportation improvements that enhance safety and mobility for our residents now and in the future.”
