Dems Use ‘Epstein Class’ Term

Progressive Democrats have adopted a new term, ‘Epstein Class,’ to describe a perceived oligarchy. However, when asked to define it, they struggle to provide specific examples.

What is the Epstein Class?

Rep. Ro Khanna, a proponent of the term, described it as a group of powerful and wealthy men who prioritize their status and networks over decency and humanity. However, when asked to provide examples of individuals who fit this description, Khanna refused to name names.

Khanna’s description of the Epstein Class shifted during the conversation, from a group of deviants connected to Jeffrey Epstein to a vague argument about the wealthy having too much power due to the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision.

A Lack of Clarity

The term ‘Epstein Class’ appears to be a rehashing of the old Occupy Wall Street demonization of ‘The 1%,’ with the added connotation of child sexual abuse. However, without clear examples or definitions, the term remains ambiguous and potentially misleading.

Some politicians, including former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and outgoing Rep. Thomas Massie, have also used the term ‘Epstein Class’ to explain various issues, but without providing specific evidence.

The lack of clarity surrounding the term ‘Epstein Class’ raises concerns about its potential to be used as a divisive and misleading label, rather than a genuine attempt to address issues of wealth and power.
