A wildfire, dubbed the “Pinnacles Fire,” is currently burning outside of Cody, Wyoming, according to the USDA Forest Service – Shoshone National Forest. The fire is located at the head of the Fish Hawk Drainage area, south of Howell Mountain.
As of noon on Thursday, the fire is estimated to be between 1-2 acres in size. One helicopter is on the scene, and additional aviation and firefighters have been ordered.
Residents are advised to avoid using the Fish Hawk Trailhead, as resources will be operating out of the area.
