The celebration began at 6:30 P.M. with music and food vendors. A large number of families gathered in the bleachers and on the high school’s football field. The pyrotechnic crew put on a heck of a show at Wendell High School Saturday night.
The volunteers who oversaw and executed the fireworks show as part of Simerly’s 4th of July Extravaganza at Wendell High School did a great job. The 30-minute skyward display was spectacular, and everyone had a great night judging by the smiles and constant applause from those who watched.
