A water rescue is underway in the Rio Grande, specifically in the Segundo Barrio area of El Paso, Texas. According to the El Paso Police Department, the incident occurred at the 20 Rio Grande Levee, near the Border Highway and Bowie Bakery.
The call for assistance came in just after 1 p.m. local time. El Paso police and U.S. Border Patrol agents are currently at the scene, working to rescue the individual from the river.
