As Northwest Arkansas experiences triple-digit heat, the Walmart Amp is urging concert goers to stay hydrated amidst potentially dangerous temperatures.
Concert Schedule
The Walmart Amp has a spray station set up roughly 30 minutes before gates open and continue operating for about an hour after gates open. Cooling tents and medical staff are expected to be inside as well. The upcoming concert schedule includes:
- Lil Wayne with 2 Chainz on Sun, Aug. 16 at 8:00 p.m.
- 5 Seconds of Summer with The Band CAMINO and Haiden Henderson on Tue, Aug. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
- Dirty Heads and 311 with Atmosphere and ROME on Wed, Aug. 26 at 5:30 p.m.
- Lynyrd Skynrd & Foreigner with Six Gun Sally on Sat, Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Heat exhaustion symptoms include heavy sweating, cold, pale, clammy skin, and fast, weak pulse. In that event, experts say to get out of the heat, loosen clothes, and sip water.
