Volunteers have begun preparations for the EAA AirVenture 2026 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The event, which will take place in less than a month, is expected to draw a large crowd.
Volunteer Efforts
Approximately 6,000 volunteers will work together to make the event a success. Jonathon McKenzie, a 14-year volunteer from Menasha, will be camping on the grounds for the entire month of July to help with the event. McKenzie works in the print and mail department, distributing literature and papers to attendees.
According to Senior Communications Specialist Drew Stephani, the volunteer turnout is amazing every year. “It’s a blessing and it’s really gratifying. There is so much work that goes into this every year and they help in every sort of way,” Stephani said.
Volunteers will continue to work hard to set up tents, unpack merchandise, and get aircraft in place for the event. Those interested in volunteering can visit the EAA website to apply.
