Vass Road on Fort Bragg is now reopened after a large outside fire jumped the roadway on Thursday.
Viewers shared photos with WRAL capturing the heavy smoke blocking the roadways.
Officials said Vass Road was closed between Flat and Delishi roads for three hours due to smoke and flames. As of 9:30 p.m., it has since reopened.
Officials have not said what started the fire.
