Vandals damaged eight tombstones at the Winthrop Street Cemetery in Provincetown this week, and police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation.
The damage was discovered Tuesday. Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area from Monday night into Tuesday to give them a call.
The Winthrop Street Cemetery is the town’s oldest burial site. Anyone with information can call police at (508) 487-1212 or text the keyword PTOWNPD and your tip to 847411.
