Winton Hills neighbors are speaking out after a home was damaged by suspected firework explosions. The incident occurred around midnight, with witnesses reporting a group of teens setting off fireworks outside the residence.
Damage and Concerns
The explosions caused significant damage to the home, including a bent door and a destroyed frame. The homeowner, Jimmy Stigall, expressed concerns about his safety and the lack of control over the children responsible for the vandalism.
Stigall’s neighbors, Deon and Athena Thompson, also reported incidents of vandalism, including bottle rockets being set off on their front door and milk, flour, and feces being thrown on their doors. The Thompsons stated that they had spoken to the parents of the children involved, but the parents did not seem to care.
The Cincinnati police are investigating the incident, and the Cincinnati Fire investigators are also working on the case. The homeowner is waiting for the CMHA to replace his door, which may take six to eight weeks.
