Universal Kids Resort Falls Short

Universal Kids Resort, located in Frisco, Texas, has been met with criticism for its lack of innovation and high prices. The park, aimed at kids aged 3 to 8, features 13 rides, including themed flat rides and spinners, but fails to offer anything new or special.

Ride Lineup Lacking

The park’s ride lineup has been compared to those found at regional parks, but with a higher admission price. The rides, such as Mrs. Puff’s Boating School and the Pteranodrop kiddie drop tower, are not unique to Universal Kids Resort and can be found at other parks for a lower cost.

The park’s headliner, the Minions-themed Bello Bay Cruise river rapids ride, is also underwhelming, with an excess of empty space and bare concrete. The ride itself is fine, but the appearance is lacking.

Disappointing Experience

The park’s biggest problem is that it doesn’t offer anything different or special, making it not worth the cost of admission. The experience is further marred by the lack of theming and the abundance of bare concrete and empty space.

The Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After ride is particularly disappointing, with long stretches of nothing but plants and poorly edited audio. The ride feels like a sensory garden with a bare frame of a ride plopped into the area.

While the park may have some positive aspects, such as its splash pads and playgrounds, the overall experience is not worth the cost. Parents will be disappointed by the lack of innovation and the high prices, and kids will be bored by the lack of exciting rides and activities.
