Arrests and charges
According to investigators, 23‑year‑old Michael Anthony Martinez and 19‑year‑old Angel Xavier Marchan Jr. were present at the party, witnessed the shooting, and later helped the alleged shooter, Deshawn Suggs, dispose of the firearm. Both men are charged with a third‑degree felony for tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair. They were taken into custody on September 1 and September 2, respectively, and remain in the Bexar County Jail.

After the shooting, Suggs allegedly fled the scene and handed the gun to Marchan and Martinez, who then attempted to sell it in an effort to conceal the weapon.
