About 6 in 10 Republicans approve of how Trump is handling immigration, compared to about 2 in 10 independents and just 4% of Democrats.
Trump’s popularity has fallen since he took office, but the findings highlight the relatively muted impact of the past year’s aggressive immigration enforcement on his public standing. The poll also found that Trump’s approval on the economy remains low, with about 3 in 10 U.S. adults approving of his handling of the economy.
