President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Los Angeles on Tuesday, where he will attend a Republican National Committee fundraiser at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes. During his visit, Trump is expected to criticize California Gov. Gavin Newsom, according to the White House.
Trump’s Remarks
The President will draw a sharp contrast between his administration’s accomplishments and the policies of Democrats like Gov. Newsom, who have raised taxes and failed to address issues like fraud in taxpayer-funded programs and the protection of illegal immigrant criminals, according to White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales.
Trump’s visit to Los Angeles is part of a larger trip that will also take him to Las Vegas, where he will deliver remarks on the economy at Red Rock Casino on Wednesday. The President has been a vocal critic of Gov. Newsom, who has also been a frequent critic of Trump’s policies.
The White House noted that Trump has made FEMA assistance available to victims of the Palisades and Eaton fires and has directed federal agencies to assist with debris removal and recovery operations. Trump also visited Pacific Palisades in January 2025 following the wildfires and hosted a roundtable discussion with lawmakers and local officials.
