When asked by a reporter for recommendations for Republicans and whether Democratic nominees were making things easier for the GOP, Trump pointed to the ideology of certain political opponents, characterizing them as “radical lunatics” and “jihadists”.

Trump criticized proposals he attributed to Democratic candidates regarding core government institutions and law enforcement. He alleged that opponents advocate for severe institutional rollbacks, including eliminating the Supreme Court, the presidency, and the Senate.

Trump further stated that Democratic candidates start at a “big disadvantage” with voters due to platform positions on law enforcement and national defense. “They want to defund our police. They want to terminate our military. No military. We don’t want any military in our country. We don’t want our police to be paid anymore,” Trump claimed.
