The Travelers Championship tees off at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut next Wednesday. Nathan Grube, the executive director of the Travelers Championship, said their goal is to improve the fan experience year after year.
A Family-Friendly Event
Grube mentioned that the event will have various activities for fans, including face painting, bracelet making, a rock wall, mini golf, and hydration stations. The event will also debut a smart map to help fans navigate the golf course.
Fans of the event, like Christine Sikora, are excited for the tournament. Bob Pace, who lives nearby, is looking forward to watching the best golfers in the world. Forty-eight of the top 50 players have committed to the event.
Grube said their hard work has been paying off, with the event being voted as the most fan-friendly on the PGA Tour. The gates will open next Wednesday, and the celebrity and pro-am events will be held. The first round of the signature event will tee off on Thursday morning and wrap up on Sunday.
