Notably, a 77‑year‑old man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon in the 3000 block of Danmont Court, and a 39‑year‑old was charged with brandishing a replica firearm in the 3000 block of Holloway Street.

Drug‑related and intoxication offenses

Police noted multiple incidents involving controlled substances, including reports on Hilltop Way (300 block) and Camino Dos Rios (2000 block). Public intoxication arrests were frequent, with men and women detained on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Hillcrest Drive, Highview Street and other locations. Between Aug. 7 and Aug. 15, the department recorded 11 DUI arrests and 21 additional drug‑related arrests.

Community impact

City officials and neighborhood groups are urged to remain vigilant as these incidents underscore the importance of community‑police partnership. Residents are reminded to report suspicious activity promptly and to support local initiatives that promote safety, family stability and respect for the rule of law.

The blotter reflects the ongoing work of the Thousand Oaks Sheriff’s Office to protect citizens and uphold public order throughout the city.
