Military Installations Support Jobs and Economy
The study found that military installations support 628,884 jobs across the state, with 212,524 being direct jobs. The governor emphasized the importance of these installations, stating that they serve as major local employers and provide tremendous value to communities across Texas.
Active-duty personnel, civilian employees, contractors, dependents, and other individuals directly affiliated with the installations were included in the study. The study analyzed the economic impact of the population and employees affiliated with Texas military installations from 2025-2026.
