The Texas Mead & Music Festival, a celebration of mead and music, will make its North Texas debut on September 19 at Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie. The festival will feature handcrafted meads from 13 award-winning Texas meaderies, live music on five stages, artisan vendors, and educational presentations.
Festival Highlights
Guests can sample meads, meet the meadmakers, and enjoy live performances by Texas Country and Red Dirt artists. The festival will also include educational presentations on mead making, beekeeping, and the history of mead.
The Texas Mead & Music Festival is produced by Southwest Festivals, which also produces the Scarborough Renaissance Festival and Scarborough’s Hollow Fall Fantasy Festival. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Texas Mead Association, which supports education, collaboration, and the growth of the mead industry in Texas.
Tickets for the festival are available online and include general admission, mead samples, and access to live music and educational presentations. VIP tickets are also available, which include early admission, additional mead samples, and access to premium attractions.
