Texas Health Frisco, a hospital in the heart of Frisco, Texas, is nearing the completion of its $25 million expansion project, which is expected to be finished by late 2026. The project will increase the hospital’s capacity to 123 beds, with the additional 30 rooms being designated as medical-surgical.
Expansion Details
The new private rooms will be located on the hospital’s seventh floor and will feature natural lighting and a recliner or pull-out sofa for family members to stay with patients while in the hospital. Tiffany Northern, president of Texas Health Frisco, said the goal of the expansion is to quickly get patients from the emergency department to in-patient spaces with nurses and physicians ready to care for specific illnesses.
Northern also mentioned that the hospital is looking to expand its cancer care and treatment services, including recruiting more cancer physician specialists and bringing chemotherapy and infusions services on-site to the Frisco campus. The hospital is also exploring the expansion of other service offerings, such as MRI and mammography centers, to provide patients with an alternative to commercial spaces where they can have their treating physician on-site with them.
