Dangerous heavy rain has been hammering parts of Texas, with Uvalde County receiving more than half a year’s worth of rain. The relentless rain has led to dozens of water rescues in the region.
Flooded Creek Rescue
A good Samaritan, David Flores, came to the aid of a man named Nathan who had been swept into a flooded creek in Sabinal. Flores was able to capture the moment on video as he went into Elm Creek to save Nathan.
The rescue happened around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, with Flores asking Nathan to keep talking and try to grab onto a tree. Eventually, Flores reached Nathan, and both men were able to get out safely.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says more than 75 people have been rescued from rising floodwaters across the state, with one reported loss of life in the catastrophic flooding.
