The Teton County Library is hosting a free repair cafe this Saturday, where residents can bring in broken household items and receive minor repairs from volunteers. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., aims to reduce waste and promote sustainability in the community.
Repair Services
The repair cafe will offer a range of services, including jewelry repair, clothing and fabric repair, furniture repair, knife and tool sharpening, bike repair, computer diagnosis and troubleshooting, lamp repair, and small appliance repair. There will also be a kids’ tinker table where children can learn about repair and disassemble items.
The event is a collaboration between the Teton County Library, Teton Resilience Network, Teton Habitat ReStore, and Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling. It is modeled after the international organization Repair Cafe, which aims to reduce waste and promote community engagement.
