Switchback Coffee and Beer, located next to Crux Climbing Center and Granny’s Tacos, serves specialty coffee, craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic beverages in Southwest Austin.

Meet the Owners

Grace Nicholas and Ethan Wagner own the coffee shop, which they describe as the “local watering hole.” Wagner said in an email, “We are a community-focused business with a love for adventure and the outdoors.”

The menu features seasonal drinks, including the Violet Crown Tonic, which includes espresso, blackberry syrup, lemonade, rosemary, and sparkling tonic, served over ice. Switchback Coffee and Beer opened on May 30 and is located at 220 Ralph Ablanedo Drive, Ste. 110, in Austin.
