First Colony Mall in Sugar Land has opened a new candy-themed play area, designed to create a welcoming space for families to spend time together. The project was supported by Sugar Land’s Commercial Revitalization Grant, which aims to revitalize some of the city’s oldest commercial properties.
A Welcoming Space
According to Shenea Bankhead, general manager of First Colony Mall, the idea for the play area came from the desire to create a space where kids could play and burn off energy while families spend time together. The new play area is a simple addition, but it helps make First Colony Mall an even more welcoming place for the community to gather and connect.
