High school students from across Wisconsin will gather at the University of Wisconsin‑Madison on Tuesday, November 17, for the 2026 Stride Youth Leadership Conference. Presented by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP), the two‑day event is designed to equip 15‑ to 18‑year‑old students with practical communication and leadership skills while exposing them to the science, technology and innovation shaping modern agriculture and dairy production.
Hands‑On Learning at a World‑Class Campus
Attendees will experience the university’s research facilities through a series of hands‑on labs and problem‑solving scenarios. The labs introduce participants to cutting‑edge dairy technologies, from precision feeding systems to sustainable milk processing methods. By working directly with UW‑Madison faculty, staff and current students, participants gain a realistic view of college life and the career pathways available in the agricultural sector.
Leadership Development Sessions
Michael Hoffman, founder and owner of Igniting Performance, Inc., will lead interactive sessions focused on building confidence, effective communication and the ability to make an impact in a variety of settings. Hoffman’s curriculum emphasizes practical strategies that students can apply immediately—whether in classroom presentations, job interviews, part‑time work or future professional environments.
