Two stray pigs were seen wandering in Woodbridge on Tuesday, prompting Woodbridge Regional Animal Control to seek help from the public in identifying their owners.
Officers received a call from a resident on Old Quarry Road around 5:45 a.m. about a stray pig roaming in her yard. Several hours later, officers responded to a separate complaint on Acorn Hill Road about a pig that had reportedly been wandering in the area for at least two days.
Animal control officials stress that the two incidents involve different pigs. They are still looking for help with sightings near Acorn Hill Road and Old Quarry Road for the light-colored pig that was seen roaming.
The other pig was safely contained and is now in the custody of Woodbridge Regional Animal Control Department. If you recognize the pigs or have information that may help identify their owners, you’re asked to call Woodbridge Regional Animal Control at (203) 389-5991.
