A bell that was stolen over the weekend from the Archangel Michael Orthodox Church in Pueblo, Colorado, has been returned. The church reported the theft on August 8 after a large hole was cut in the fence. The bell, which is part of a set of five crafted in Russia, was returned on Thursday afternoon and was left in front of the church.
The church, which has been in Pueblo since 1903, had been preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2003 when the bells were installed. The return of the bell is a welcome relief for the church community.
