The savory finalists include Burger Chop Tater Tacos, Dickel’s Texas Two Step Tacos, Flamin’ Crunch Pizza, Golden Crunch Melt, and Nacho Wings. The sweet finalists include Berry Me in Matcha, Fernie’s Frozen Espresso-Tini Bar, Fletcher’s Chocolate Corny Dog, Holy Flan! Bunueloco, and Texas Pecan Praline Cheesecake Cone.
The drink finalists include Corn Flake Shappe, Nevins Soft Serve Peach Bellini Float, Rousso’s Bacon Jam Caramel Apple Hard Cider, Sunset Soft Serve Rita, and Tropical Coco Fresca. The winners will be announced on August 18, with awards for Best Taste in the sweet, savory, and sipper categories, as well as a Most Creative entry.
The State Fair of Texas will take place from September 25 to October 18, and will feature a wide range of food, drink, and entertainment options. The fair is a beloved annual event in Texas, and the Big Tex Choice Awards are a highlight of the festivities.
