St. Norbert College in De Pere saw a challenging weekend for its women’s teams. In the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, the Green Knights fell 2‑0 to Illinois Tech at Schneider Stadium, with Illinois Tech taking a 9:20 lead on a free kick and adding a second goal late in the game.
Illinois Tech outshot St. Norbert 8‑7, and goalkeeper Gabriel Mathisen made a single relief save in the second half. For the Scarlet Hawks, David Rodriguez recorded three stops.
Women’s Soccer
Later, the women’s squad was held to zero goals in a 5‑0 defeat by the same opponent. Illinois Tech built a two‑goal lead in the first ten minutes and added three more in a second‑half surge. St. Norbert thought they had scored at 42:31 via an own goal, but the play was ruled offside.

Women’s Volleyball
At the Coe‑Cornell Invitational, St. Norbert faced two Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents. The Green Knights lost 3‑1 to Gustavus Adolphus after winning the opening set 16‑11, thanks to service aces from Maddie Kitowski.
Gustavus rallied, tying the set four times before pulling ahead to win the match. St. Norbert recorded 27 kills on 103 attempts, hitting .039, with Anna Kudick leading with eight kills and Kirsten Klatt adding five. Keira Ashenfelter contributed 13 assists, while Kitowski posted five aces.
Against No. 21‑ranked St. Olaf, the Knights again fell 3‑1. St. Olaf closed the first set 25‑24 and dominated the remaining sets. St. Norbert hit .141 for the match, with Kudick again leading with eight kills and Alli Clark adding six. Annabel Stevenson posted a team‑high ten digs.
Despite the setbacks, the Green Knights remain focused on upcoming conference matchups and aim to improve their performance in both sports.
