Sporting Jax Women S Club Donates To Local Grocery

The Sporting Jax Women’s soccer club has donated $9,900 to The Corner at Debs, a local grocery store on Jacksonville’s Eastside. The team selected the store due to its provision of healthy options at accessible prices.

Community Support

The donation was made possible through a partnership with the league’s sponsor, Gainbridge, and former U.S. Women’s National Team goalkeeper Briana Scurry. For every save made by the Sporting Jax goalkeepers during the 2025-26 season, Gainbridge pledged to donate $99. Goalies Kaitlyn Parks and Jamie Gerstenberg combined for 80 saves in 28 matches, with Gainbridge covering the rest.

Sporting Jax kicks off its 2026-27 season against Fort Lauderdale United on August 15, with the home opener scheduled for August 22 at Hodges Stadium against the Tampa Bay Sun.
