Markovic, who plays for Brooklyn FC, posted on Instagram, “Someone’s sleeping on the couch tonight.” Ribeiro, who plays for a Portuguese team, responded, “Guess who’s gonna be?”

The couple watched the game together, with Markovic surrounded by fans rooting for Portugal. Despite being in a difficult environment, Markovic’s team, Croatia, lost 2-1. After the loss, Markovic seemed to confirm that she had the bed all to herself, saying it was a hard pill to swallow.
