Police in southeastern Indiana are investigating after skeletal remains were found in a rural part of Franklin County on Friday.
According to police, the remains were discovered near the Ohio border. The Franklin County Coroner’s Office was notified shortly after the discovery was made.
The University of Indianapolis Human Identification Center Forensic Anthropology Team has been requested to assist in identifying the person. No further details were immediately provided by officers about the discovery.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police say that they will provide further information as it becomes available to them in the case.
