Trinity won the KHSAA State Baseball Championship for the second straight season, defeating Boyd County 12-0 in five innings. Mr. Baseball Grayson Willoughby struck out seven Boyd County batters and only gave up one hit in five innings.
Trinity’s Dominant Season
The Rocks are the first back-to-back champs since Harrison County in 1997 and 1998. Trinity scored three times in the top of the first and never looked back, finishing the season 41-3. Willoughby, a University of Kentucky signee, was 12-0 with 96 strikeouts in just 62.1 innings.
It is the third baseball state title for Trinity, who also won in 2021 and 2025. The team’s dominant performance has made them a force to be reckoned with in the state.
