The Shreve Memorial Library system is organizing special interactive events at the North Shreveport and Wallette branches to celebrate Father’s Day. On Saturday, the North Shreveport Branch will host a handmade popcorn card craft event from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. where children can create a gift for their fathers.
Father’s Day Read-In
On Tuesday, the Wallette Branch will host a Father’s Day Read-In from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The program aims to recognize the vital role fathers play in supporting childhood literacy. Families can read together, participate in crafts and share interactive activities.
Additionally, all Shreve Memorial Library branches will be closed from Friday through Saturday in observance of Juneteenth and will remain closed on Sunday for Father’s Day. More information about these events can be found on the library system’s website at www.shreve-lib.org.
